Nanolight White can be used to fix all types of tiles. It is the ideal tile adhesive for high quality tile work requiring fine detail or for glass tiles where the adhesive may remain visible.
It is particularly useful in conjunction with glass and porcelain mosaic, glass tiles or decorative work, for instance in bathrooms, leisure facilities, swimming pools and Spas where PCI provide a complete system specification incorporating PCI’s waterproofing technology.

PROHESIVE PROMASTIK is a high strength, premium quality, fast setting, non-slump/non-slip, white cement

based fl exible adhesive developed to bond most types of tiles. Ideal for bonding porcelain, monocottura,

natural stone, marble, granite and mosaic (including glass) tiles. It is suitable for both internal and external

wall and fl oor applications. PROHESIVE PROMASTIK has  a creamy consistency, extended open time and

improved workability.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, wax, oil, laitance, curing compounds,

release agents, paint, coatings, friable material and all other contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive

bonding. Cement render/screeds must be allowed to cure for 7 days, concrete to be left with a wood

fl oat fi nish and allowed to cure for at least 28 days before tiling. Refer to the substrate test guide below

for recommended surface preparation. Certain non-absorbent/impervious substrates that are suitable for

tiling should be primed using Aqua Blök™ Epoxy Seal. For further information, contact the CTA Technical

Department. Aqua Blök™ Epoxy Seal should be used as a primer over PROHESIVE approved polyurethane

waterproofing* membranes.

MIXING

20kg of PROHESIVE PROMASTIK powder requires approximately 6 litres of water. Add a measured

amount of water into a clean container and sprinkle PROHESIVE PRO MASTIK slowly into the liquid with

constant stirring. Eliminate lumps. Mix to a thick toothpaste consistency. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Then

re-mix. The adhesive is now ready to use. Do not mix by hand.

APPLICATION

All workmanship must be carried out in accordance with AS3958.1-2007. Apply the mixed adhesive to the

prepared substrate using the appropriate notched trowel for the size of the tile being laid. A minimum of

1mm bed thickness and a maximum of 3mm for walls and a minimum of 3mm and a maximum of 10mm

for fl oors must be achieved. Ensure that the tiles are fully supported by the adhesive with no voids. Do not

spread more than 1m² of PROHESIVE PRO MASTIK at a time. Lay tiles into the adhesive before it skins. If

the adhesive skins, re-spread the adhesive. Do not disturb tiles until the adhesive has cured. Discard any

PROHESIVE PRO MASTIK that has hardened or stiffened in the mixing bucket. Further addition of water

will not reconstitute a useable mixture.

DRYING

Prior to allowing foot traffi c or grouting, allow a minimum of 7–8 hours for the adhesive to set (or when tile

work is fi rm) and between 24–48 hours when tiling over PROHESIVE approved waterproofi ng membranes

and non-porous substrates. PROHESIVE PRO MASTIK must not come into contact with water at any stage

during curing. Do not tile if temperatures are likely to drop to below 5°C or exceed 35°C. For temperatures

below 20°C allow the adhesive to cure for an extended period of time. If uncertain, check to see if the

adhesive has set before allowing foot traffi c or grouting.

GROUTING

Use the appropriate Polyblend™ recommended grout. Allow joint widths of 1.5mm to 5mm for walls and

3mm to 15mm for fl oors as per AS3958.1-2007. Thoroughly clean the surface of the tiles to remove all

residue prior to the grout drying.

CLEAN UP

PROHESIVE PRO MASTIK can be removed from the surface of the tiles using a damp cloth while the

adhesive is still wet. Tools and equipment can be cleaned with warm water and detergent prior to the

adhesive drying.

POT LIFE

3.5 hours at 22°C and 50%RH Setting time: 8 hours at 22°C and 50%RH.

COVERAGE

10m² per 20kg bag using a 6mm notched trowel and 6.6m² using a 10mm notched trowel.

SHELF LIFE

Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool, dry and weatherproof environment. Bags must

be stored off the fl oor.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

PROHESIVE supports best practice in material handling: gloves, mask, safety goggles and protective

clothing should be worn. If the product comes into contact with the skin, wash off with warm soapy water.

Avoid inhaling the dust by wearing a suitable dust mask and provide adequate ventilation. If swallowed drink

plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with an eye wash or wash

away with plenty of water.

PROHESIVE ULTRAPRO is a highly fl exible, premium quality, white cement based adhesive developed to bond

most types of tiles. Ideal for bonding porcelain and monocottura tiles as well as natural stone, marble, granite and

mosaic  tiles (including glass) onto rendered brickwork, existing tiles, cement render and concrete  walls and fl oors.

Suitable for both internal and external applications including swimming pools.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, wax, oil, laitance, curing compounds, release agents,

paint, coatings, friable material and all other contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. Fibrous cement

sheeting and plasterboard must be fi xed in accordance to the manufacturer’s directions and should be damp

sponged to remove all dust etc. Cement render / screeds must be allowed to cure for 1 day, concrete to be left

with a wood fl oat fi nish and allowed to cure for at least 7 days before tiling. Refer to the substrate test guide below

for recommended surface preparation. If tiling over existing tiles then they must be fi rm and stable. All care must

be taken to remove any dust, sealers or other contaminants prior to tiling. Mechanical abraiding is recommended.

When laying tiles / mosaics in continuous immersion applications ensure that a minimum 90% of adhesive contact

is achieved to the back of the tile / mosaic cube, not mesh / matting, (paper or other) or the mesh matting glue.

PROHESIVE™ approved waterproofi ng membranes must have dried / cured in accordance with the printed

directions on the product packaging.

Certain non – absorbent / impervious substrates that are suitable for tiling should be primed using Aqua Blok™

“Epoxy Seal”. For further information, contact the CTA Pty. Ltd. Technical Department.

Aqua Blok™ “Epoxy Seal” should be used as a primer over Prohesive™ approved polyurethane waterproofi ng

membranes.

MOVEMENT JOINTS

Movement joints must be incorporated at the design stage and in accordance with AS3958.1-2007.

15kg of PROHESIVE™ “ULTRA PRO” powder requires approximately 5.5 to 6 litres of water. Add a measured

amount of water into a clean container and sprinkle PROHESIVE™ “ULTRA PRO” slowly into the liquid with

constant stirring. Eliminate lumps. Mix to a thick toothpaste consistency. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Then remix. The adhesive is now ready to use.

APPLICATION

All workmanship must be carried out in accordance with AS3958.1- 2007. Apply the mixed adhesive to the

prepared substrate using the appropriate notched trowel for the size of the tile being laid.  A minimum of 1mm

bed thickness for walls and a minimum of 3mm and a maximum of 8mm bed thickness for fl oors must be

allowing foot traffi c or grouting. For continuous immersion applications allow a minimum of 14 days.

GROUTING

Use the appropriate POLYBLEND™ recommended grout. Allow joint widths of 1.5mm to 5mm for walls and 3mm

to 15mm for fl oors as per AS3958.1-2007. Thoroughly clean the surface of the tiles to remove all residue prior to

the grout drying.

CLEAN UP

PROHESIVE™ “ULTRA PRO” can be removed from the surface of the tiles using a damp cloth while the

adhesive is still wet. Tools and equipment can be cleaned with warm water and detergent prior to the adhesive

drying.

POT LIFE

1.5 – 2 hours at 22°C and 50%RH       Setting time: 4 – 6 hours at 22°C and 50%RH.

COVERAGE

1kg powder per m² using a 6mm notched trowel and 2kg powder per m² using a 12mm notched trowel.

SHELF LIFE

PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC is a pre-mixed, white, flexible, anti-slump ceramic tile adhesive.

PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC is a pre-mixed, white, fl exible, anti-slump ceramic tile adhesive recommended

for most internal thin bed wall applications. It is suitable for plasterboard, fi brous cement sheeting, cement

render and concrete. PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC is recommended for most internal thin bed wall applications

in bathrooms, toilets and kitchens. It is convenient for the tradesman and ideal for the handyman.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, grease, wax, oil, laitance, curing compounds, release agents,

paint, coatings, friable material and all other contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. Fibrous

cement sheeting and plasterboard must be fi xed in accordance to the manufacturer’s directions and should

be damp sponged to remove all dust etc. Do not use topping compounds on areas to be tiled. Cement render

must be allowed to cure for 7 days, concrete to be left with a wood fl oat fi nish and allowed to cure for at least

28 days before tiling.

*When tiling over PROHESIVE approved waterproofi ng membranes prolonged drying will occur. Contact the

CTA Technical department for further details.

APPLICATION

All workmanship must be carried out in accordance with AS3958.1-2007. Apply the adhesive to the

prepared substrate using the appropriate notched trowel for the size of the tile being laid. Press tiles into the

adhesive before it skins over. Do not spread more than 1m² of PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC at a time.

At least 80% of the adhesive must be in full contact with substrate and tile. Final bed must not exceed 2mm.

If the adhesive skins, re-spread the adhesive. Do not disturb tiles until the adhesive has cured.

DRYING

Allow adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours (or until tile work has fi rmed) before grouting.

PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC must not be washed down for at least 24 hours. PROHESIVE PRO MASTIC

must not come into contact with water at any stage during cure. Do not tile if temperatures are likely to drop

to below 5°C or exceed 30°C. For temperatures below 20°C allow the adhesive to cure for an extended

period of time. If uncertain check to see if the adhesive has set before grouting.

Drying time will be extended if used over PROHESIVE approved waterproofi ng membranes and bonding a

dense, low or non-porosity tile.

GROUTING

Use the appropriate Polyblend™ recommended grout. Allow joint widths of 1.5mm to 5mm for walls and

1.5mm to 5mm for walls as per AS3958.1-2007. Thoroughly clean the surface of the tiles to remove all

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear overalls, safety shoes, impervious gloves and safety glasses. Use

only in well ventilated areas. No smoking. Avoid contact with foodstuffs, and sources of heat and ignition.

Wash hands after use. Store in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Store away from oxidising agents.

Keep containers closed when not in use. Do not empty into drains.

FOR FIRE: If involved in a fi re use water, fog, foam or dry agents. Avoid breathing products of combustion.

FOR SPILLS: Clean up all spills immediately. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear impervious gloves

and safety goggles. Trowel up/scrape up and place spilled material in clean, dry, sealed container. Flush

spill area with water.

FIRST AID

DO NOT reuse container unless thoroughly decontaminated.

SWALLOWED: If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately give a glass of water. First aid is not

EYE: Immediately irrigate with copious amount of water for 15 minutes. Eyelids to be held open. Urgently

seek medical advice.

SKIN: If skin or hair contact occurs, fl ush skin and hair with running water (and soap if available). Seek

medical attention in event of irritation.

INHALED: If fumes or combustion products are inhaled remove from contaminated area. Other measures

are usually unnecessary. Seek medical advice if in doubt.

•   Not recommended for tiling over timber, chipboard, particleboard and MDF.

•   Prevent contents from freezing.

•   Do not apply the product in extreme temperatures of below 5°C and above 30°C.
