Gain a better understanding of tiles in the home and how to fix them. Basic setting out cutting measuring design grouting layout fixing procedures adhesives and tricks of the trade. All basic materials provided.

This course designed for the absolute beginner, this class introduces students to different types and styles of tiles, tools and materials. The course provides to learn techniques of setting of tiles, including planning, how to cut and prepare surfaces, and estimate quantities.

In this course candidates find out what skills and what tools are required to carry out their own tiling. Different surfaces, tiles, glues and grouts will be discussed. Fee includes the cost of materials so that the candidates can practise basic wall and floor tiling. Tiles donated by Beaumont Tiles and adhesives by Construction Chemicals. The discount fee is $65 and the concession fee is $50.

Tiling Fast Track to Full Route: QUA 750 NVQ Level 2 – Wall and Floor Tiling -Dartford, Kent, UK.

Able Skills has devised a three week fast track tiling programme designed to help you towards achieving NVQ level 2 in wall and floor tiling.

By 2010, it will be a requirement for anybody who wishes to work on a construction site, to hold a level 2 trade qualification and Experienced Worker CSCS card.

This particular Tiling course has been designed for those of you with little or no experience in wall and floor tiling.

The 3 weeks that you are with us will provide training in various different areas of tiling, guiding you at all times to meet the requirements of a Tiling NVQ assessment.

Able Skills has developed additional tiling and plastering related courses to help existing tradesmen, especially Tilers, increase their potential. With these additional skills, you will be able to complete all aspects of any job that you take on, offering a wider range of skills

We have devised a 5 day course which will cover floor screeding and tanking. This will enable you to cover other necessary aspects before tiling the allocated area.

We have specific designated areas in order to complete these training courses; these are located within Able Skills dedicated Tiling Training Centre.

These combined courses are available Monday – Friday or split over 2 weekends. If you only want to cover one aspect of this course, this is available during the week or for 1 weekend.
